In this Privacy Policy, we inform you: how we collect and use personal information that you provide to us when you use our website, download a solution paper, join one of our mailing lists or use our services; what we do with the information collected; and how you can exercise your privacy rights.

Who we are

ChainPoint is a supplier of Supply Chain Integration and Collaboration software headquartered in The Netherlands.

The personal information we collect and our legal basis for doing so

When using our website

Our public website uses ‘cookies’ (small pieces of data sent from a website and stored on a user’s computer) to help us analyse how our visitors use the site. Information stored in cookies, which is related to your use of our public website, is sent to ChainPoint’s secure servers. We use this information to analyse how you use the website, to draw up reports about user activity on the website, and to offer services in relation to website activity and internet usage. We may also collect unique IDs collected from mobile devices, network carriers or data providers and IP addresses. Our legal basis for collecting information from cookies and additional unique IDs is that you provide consent when we display notice on the website of our use of cookies and additional unique IDs, such as IP addresses.

We use Google Analytics technology to provide us with generalized demographics information about our site’s visitors. The information we collect via Google Analytics does not personally identify you. Google is certified under the US-EU Privacy Shield Framework. We also use Hubspot technology to gather personal data including your name, the name of the company where you work and your email address. The personal data gathered by Hubspot is stored on Hubspot’s servers in the USA. Hubspot is certified under the US-EU Privacy Shield Framework. Our legal basis for gathering the personal information stored with Hubspot is that you provide consent when you sign up for a newsletter or a solution paper. We use the information gathered by Hubspot to learn which areas of our website you visit so that we can learn more about your specific interests in our services. We will retain personal information in Hubspot gathered in this way for a period of no longer than 12 months after we have no more legitimate interest in keeping the details.  When using our online support system

If you are a user of our software application, you may have been invited to use our ChainPoint Support system for registering support issues. We collect personal information about you which we store on our servers in The Netherlands. The personal information we collection is: your name, the name of the company where you work and your email address.  Our legal basis for collecting this personal information is that the information is necessary to collect with respect to a contract we have with a direct customer of ChainPoint. The direct customer is usually the owner or governing party of the instance of the ChainPoint software application you use. We retain such information in the ChainPoint Support as long as the contract is in effect with our customer.

We also store your personal information in ChainPoint if you have directly approached us with a sales query or request. In this case, our legal basis for storing the information in ChainPoint Support is that we have a legitimate interest since contact was initiated by you and we may need to follow up on contacting you in response to your query. Our retention period for such personal information is 12 months from the date of our last interaction with you as a sales lead. You may request at any time to have some personal information removed from our database, at which point you will no longer be in a sales lead process.

We may also store your name and the name of the company you work for in our timesheet registration system, operated by Clockwise in The Netherlands. We have contractual agreements in place with Clockwise to ensure that the levels of privacy and security controls we offer as a Controller of your information are also honoured by Clockwise.

 When downloading a solution paper

When you request to download a Solution Paper, we use Hubspot technology to gather personal data including your name, the name of the company where you work, your email address and in some cases your work/ mobile telephone number. The personal data gathered by Hubspot is stored on Hubspot’s servers in the USA. Hubspot is certified under the US-EU Privacy Shield Framework. Our legal basis for gathering the personal information stored with Hubspot is that you provide consent when you sign up for a solution paper. We use the information gathered by Hubspot to learn which areas of our website you visit so that we can learn more about your specific interests in our services When you download a solution paper, you also opt-in to receive follow-up contact via email or telephone from ChainPoint to discuss how our services align with the topics in the solution paper. We will retain personal information in Hubspot gathered in this way for a period of no longer than 12 months after we have no more legitimate interest in keeping the details. When joining our emailing list

When you request to receive a newsletter from ChainPoint, we use Hubspot technology to gather personal data including your name, the name of the company where you work and your email address. The personal data gathered by Hubspot is stored on Hubspot’s servers in the USA. Hubspot is certified under the US-EU Privacy Shield Framework. Our legal basis for gathering the personal information stored with Hubspot is that you provide consent when you sign up for a newsletter. We use the information gathered by Hubspot to learn which areas of our website you visit so that we can learn more about your specific interests in our services. In addition, we use the personal information to deliver the newsletter to your inbox. You will remain registered to receive newsletters until you opt out from receiving them. When using our software application

When using our software application a Controller (usually a customer of ChainPoint who runs a ChainPoint environment) may, via the ChainPoint Application, collect any of the following information which is passed on to us for Processing: personal contact information such as name and date of birth and passwords solely for the purpose of providing access to the ChainPoint Application; employment details including employer name, employer business address, employee business telephone or business mobile number, employee business fax number, employee business email address, job title and function, contact details of an employer’s or employee business relationships (which businesses supply materials to a given business, for example); unique IDs collected from mobile devices, network carriers or data providers and IP addresses. Our legal basis for processing this information is in the performance of a contract between ChainPoint and our customer (the Controller). Under the performance of the contract, ChainPoint may, from time to time, export some of your personal information to our third-party IT infrastructure provider, IT-Local. We have contractual agreements in place with IT-Local to honour the same level of privacy and information security that we provide to you as a Processor of your personal information.

Under the performance of a contract with one of our customers (who is the Controller of your personal information in this case), we shall retain your personal information until we receive instructions from the Controller that they no longer have a contractual or legitimate business interest in retaining your personal information. Your data protection rights

If you wish to access your personal information collected by ChainPoint via our website, solution paper downloads, newsletter subscriptions or marketing and sales interaction with us, you can do so at any time by contacting us, via email, on privacy@chainpoint.com.

If you wish to access your personal information which is processed by ChainPoint under the performance of a contract with one of our customers and is collected via the ChainPoint Application or via our Support service, you can do so at any time by contacting the respective operator of the ChainPoint Application you use. You may also contact ChainPoint via privacy@chainpoint.com to access such information, however we shall firstly forward your request to the respective operator of the ChainPoint Application you use.

You may request to have your personal information corrected, updated or deleted. You may also object to your personal information being processed, or ask for the processing of your personal information to be restricted. Similarly, you may also request portability of your personal information. In cases where your personal information has been collected by ChainPoint via our website, solution paper downloads, newsletter subscriptions or marketing and sales interaction with us, you can do so at any time by contacting us, via email, on privacy@chainpoint.com.In cases where  your personal information has been processed by ChainPoint under the performance of a contract with one of our customers and is collected via the ChainPoint Application or via our Support service, you can issue a request at any time by contacting the respective operator of the ChainPoint Application you use. You may also contact ChainPoint via privacy@chainpoint.com to access such information, however we shall firstly forward your request to the respective operator of the ChainPoint Application you use.

You may also withdraw your consent to have personal information processed using the channels described above.
